Hiking Crout's Way

A two day guided wilderness hike. September 7th & 8th

Friday, September 7, 2018 9:30 am - 5:00 pm- Saturday, September 08, 2018

Includes two picnic lunches and transportation from Cupid's Cove Plantation to the departure point and return.

Join us for an epic adventure from the oldest English settlement in Canada. Explore how early settlers and the Beothuk used the resources available to them to survive and live on the Avalon Peninsula by hiking a portion of Crout's Way trail with costumed interpreters & black powder demonstrations. Exploring the former Beothuk encampment in Blaketown, there's a lot to discover.

Note this adventure crosses rough terrain and is for experienced hikers. It is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues or medical conditions that would preclude physical activity. Participants should bring all required items for a hike of this nature; food, water, sunscreen; bug repellent, appropriate clothing and footwear. The hike will pass through some wet areas so having waterproof footwear is a must. Participants must pre-book.

2 Day, September 7 & 8, Cost $99

This event is weather dependent
Accommodations are separate from the price given.
